Dear Springfield Families & Friends,

April showers bring May flowers...

As we head into the end of our school year, our focus at Springfield remains to cultivate a positive climate and create the best learning environment possible. We encourage students and staff to be productive members of OUR COMMUNITY by adhering to the following three expectations:

  1. Make Safe & Responsible Choices

  2. Be Respectful & Kind

  3. Do Your Best

We continue on with State Testing this month. Students in Grades 3-5 will take the Mathematics portion of IAR on April 9, 10 and 11th. Fifth grade students will also take the Illinois Science Assessment on April 24, 25 and 26th.

Here are a few other April dates to please keep on your calendar:

  • Easter Monday (NO SCHOOL) - 4/1

  • Returning Student Registration for the 2024-25 School Year - April 2nd - May 10th (after that, late fee assessed)

  • Solar Eclipse Viewing - afternoon of 4/8 (permission slip required)

  • Trimester 3 Midterm/Progress Reports Go Home - 4/19

  • Family Reading Night - 4/24 @ 5-7 p.m. (RSVP required)

  • Springfield Sprint Parent Group Fundraiser - 4/25 (during P.E. classes)

About Our School

Springfield School serves approximately 280 kindergarten through fifth grade students. Our school community focuses on providing a safe and nurturing environment that encourages life-long learning while providing a challenging education. Students are guided to develop positive social skills to encourage their growth as productive and responsible citizens.
