From the Principal

Dear Springfield Families & Friends,
We have now entered the second trimester of the 2025/26 school year. Second trimester welcomes the STEM program and Ms. Eckert back to Springfield School! We are quite excited to see what feats of engineering our students create over the next few months and we look forward to sharing these with families as well.
Students in grades 2-5 are continuing on with our Collective Community sessions every other week, where we discuss current events of Springfield School, celebrate student success, hone in on areas of focus, and set goals to continue to drive our learning.
As the colder months come and recess moves inside, we remind families to please send your children to school with coats, hats, and gloves, and continue to remind them about the responsibility of keeping track of these items while at school. Mastering these executive functioning skills is a crucial part of brain (and social) development.
The holidays can be tricky to navigate for anyone, and children feel it too. If you are in need of anything school related, please do not hesitate to reach out to us, we would be happy to help.
As always, thank you for your continued support of the students and staff of Springfield School. We appreciate the understanding, patience, and flexibility that our school community displayed during the construction process!
Best wishes for a comfortable and relaxing winter season... GO CHARGERS!
Colin Nolan, Principal (708) 388-4121, Ext. 5110
