Dear Springfield Families & Friends,

April showers bring May flowers...

As we head into the end of our school year, our focus at Springfield remains to cultivate a positive climate and create the best learning environment possible. We encourage students and staff to be productive members of OUR COMMUNITY by adhering to the following three expectations:

  1. Make Safe & Responsible Choices
  2. Be Respectful & Kind
  3. Do Your Best

We continue on with State Testing this month. Students in Grades 3-5 will take the Mathematics portion of IAR on April 8, 9 and 10th. Fifth grade students will also take the Illinois Science Assessment on April 23, 24 and 25th.

Here are a few other April dates to please keep on your calendar:

  • Returning Student Registration Opens for the 2025-26 School Year - 3/31
  • Autism Acceptance Week - 4/7 thru 4/11
  • Trimester 3 Midterm/Progress Reports Go Home - 4/17
  • Good Friday (NO SCHOOL) - 4/18
  • Easter Monday (NO SCHOOL) - 4/21
  • Title 1 Family Reading Night - 4/23 @ 5-7 p.m. (RSVP required)
  • Springfield Sprint Parent Group Fundraiser - 4/24 (during P.E. classes)
  • Donuts with Grown Ups - 4/29 @ 7:30-8:10 a.m. (RSVP required)

About Our School

Springfield School serves approximately 300 kindergarten through fifth grade students. Our school community focuses on providing a safe and nurturing environment that encourages life-long learning while providing a challenging education. Students are guided to develop positive social skills to encourage their growth as productive and responsible citizens.
